Celebrating Former Contestants of the Cherry Blossom Festival

Sakura Hawaii Alumnae (SHA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that brings together former Hawaii Cherry Blossom Festival Contestants who wish to advance and further the Japanese culture and heritage in Hawaii. SHA provides opportunities for members to celebrate their passion for Japanese culture and heritage by promoting inspirational mentorship and thoughtful leadership in a variety of educational, social, community and cultural events and projects.

Our Mission To build positive relationships among former Cherry Blossom Festival Contestants while perpetuating and advancing Japanese culture and heritage in Hawaii’s community through education and volunteerism.

Become a SHA Member Over the past 60 years, the Cherry Blossom Festival has touched the lives of about 1,000 women. Join this elite group of ambitious, successful and community-minded women. Membership is now being accepted.
